Shoot, Shovel an' Shutup

Whooee! With this here mad cow troublem, the folks who's in the know sez the big ol' herds o' cattle here in Canadee an' the big herds over in Merka are all mixed up together on accounta integration. Smart fellers's been sayin' the onliest reason the Merkins ain't got any cases o' mad cow is that they're hidin' it whenever they see it.

Now there's this here scientist feller who used t' work fer the US Department o' Agriculture who sez the Merkins is coverin' up the BSE mad cow. An' it ain't jest the shootin', shovellin' ranchers, neither. The gummint's in on it, too.
OTTAWA (CP) - A scientist and former inspector for the U.S Agriculture Department says he's willing to take a lie detector test to back his claim that his government is covering up mad cow disease.
Ain't that a fine howdy-dowdy? The Merkins get all in a huff on accounta a solitary mad Canajun cow an' all the while, they're hidin' the evidence o' their own bovine spongey brains. Our Canajun cows is probbly a whole lot healthier'n them Merkins an' we're takin' it up the pooper fer bein' honest.

I have heard, but cannot remember where, that there is a bovine vaccine for this that could end the issue once and for all -- any one know if there is any truth to that?

That scientist is a wacko JimBobby - there is a more credible story actually on the CBC here:

Whooee! Thankee fer chimin' in, fellers. DarceFeller, that CBC story is sayin' sum o' the same sorta things the wacko scientist is sayin'. The CBC talks about ol' Friedlander at the very last part o' that story. They say he's willin' t' take a lie detector.

The CBC story sez the Merkins din't do proper testin' an' din't know whether or not they was lookin' at BSE. FriedlanderFeller sez they knew they had a dose but kept it under their hats. Not a whole lot o' difference, sez I.

Whooee! Yer right as rain, PrincessGal, I ain't been findin' time fer boogin' much lately. With all the fine sunny days we been gettin', I been doin' sum o' that awful spring rakin' an' baggin'. Ol' Spot's been wantin' longer runs down t' the soybean field, too.

An' then there's the damn income tax. I gotta confess that I din't file last year an' they caught up t' me an' sed if I din't get 2003's in soon, they'd do sumpin' bad. Well, I burnt sum midnight oil an' got 2003 all done an' sent in. Now, I got 2004 weighin' heavy on my mind. I don't make enuff t' hafta pay much but I jest hate bookkeepin' an' I love procrastinatin'.

I'm hopin' t' get back inta the swing o' boogin' this week on accounta I still gotta coupla weeks til ol' Fartin Martin wants his tax papers in an' I already found out you can drag that out fer almost a whole year before they get all snarky.

Boogin's more fun than doin' income tax or rakin' up pine cones an' dog shit so I reckon I'll be takin' the path o' least resistance as much as I can.
